Well it's the map I have in my head. I'm sure those that know the area will recognize it immediately;)
I'm enjoying getting these out of my system, tomorrow Kings Canyon gets the treatment.

Lasseter's Camels

A somewhat whimsical one.
The images of last year's desert trek will appear as the spirit moves. It moved today and I did this on a sheet of Blue Lake.
Camels abound in the outback, left overs from the early explorers. In 1931 Lasseter's camels allegedly "bolted" leaving him stranded 100 miles from Kata Tjuta (Mt Olga). He never made it however the camels did well. Now it's calculated that 3,000,000 inhabit central Australia.

William and Hay

One that never made it. Looking back through some photos of work from the last 3 years I think I might have been onto something with this one. I recall using sand mixed with gesso on for the red structure on the left(the corner of a church).
I think I ditched it due to the composition but there are areas I quite like.
